Breaking Routines
Common daily consciousness is generally very routine. Most of the 60 000 - 90 000 thoughts we think every day are the same ones as we had yesterday. Most of our physical and emotional actions are very habitual too.
This state of affairs doesn't allow for anything much new in our lives and therefore growth in terms of the evolution of awareness will probably be rather slow and difficult. We want things to improve, but we keep doing the same things and thinking the same thoughts.
Actions to take
Make a regular practice of breaking routines and habits. Don't be silly or helter skelter. We should know that habits and routines are supposed to serve our purpose, not turn into slave masters that govern every segment of our time, energy and lives.
