Career and Work Life
There are a few things to get clarity on here when trying to work out what kind of career path to persue in life.
As a young person it is sometimes hard to really know what it is we would like to do since obviously we do not have the necessary experience. Older folk can also find that they dislike the jobs they are in, and find it hard to change or dont know what steps to take.
Family, social and peer group voices will be loud. Many times these 'voices' telling us the best thing to do are not our own at all. So that is a good place to start. What do I really, really want to do, deep down in my self that may not conform to conventional models and all the many voices and pressures around me.
In life we do often have to balance out the need for immediate practicality with more long term dreams that may seem very far off. Perhaps the biggest trick is not falling into comfort zones and the associated apathy. All that happens is that our dream gets further and further away since we are giving it no attention at all. The dream has flipped into a 'wishful thinking' mode.
Dreams we have for our lives, in order to manifest usually take a lot a attention in the form of hard work and efforts to make them practical and materialised. We usually have to 'fail' many times and absolutely need to see mistakes as 'friendly' occurences that serve to guide us as to what to do differently next time.
